Ethical and environmental responsibility are the values that guide our business development, corporate strategies and all our daily activities to encourage sustainable choices and behaviour. Employee home-work journeys has been the subject of analysis and reflection becoming a key element in Fiorini International’s sustainability strategy.
The company’s study of possible solutions, facilities and services for employees to encourage and favour sustainable transport systems has resulted in the identification of a company carpooling system based on the Jojob Real Time Carpooling platform. Fiorini International has chosen to encourage carpooling in order to promote synergies between people and places, reducing traffic and pollution in the area: the Carpooling project directly involves the community of employees and as a part of the company’s investments and tools in the sustainability framework.
The numbers of the first month are clear: 3,943.62 km saved and 512.67 kg of CO2 emissions avoided. Around 600 employees can use the Carpooling service free of charge: through the free Jojob Real Time App, employees certify the journeys made in carpooling, displaying and monitoring their contribution to the environment in terms of CO2 emissions and cost savings. For each certified home-work journey by carpooling (up to a maximum of two journeys per day), employees receive cashback, accumulating credits as shopping vouchers on various partner platforms.
